I mentioned John Krasinski and Emily Blunt in my post about Kirsten Dunst, and they were also at the SAG Awards, where Blunt was a nominee for The Girl on the Train, which has more to do with her popularity among her peers than her actual performance. Her face when they announced her name as a nominee says she knows this, too. Anyway, they walked the red carpet together—because they aren’t f*cking precious—and I really want to know what they say to each other at events like this.
Blunt and Krasinski are, of course, as hooked in and connected as you get in Hollywood. But they also seem kind of outside it? (They remind me of William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman like that.) I imagine they talk a lot of sh*t to one another at events like this, or maybe just after, on the limo ride home. They’re probably politic enough to save the really juicy gossip and cutting observations for when there’s no chance of being overhead. A dream dinner party scenario is the night after an award show with Blunt and Krasinski, talking sh*t about everyone they saw the night before. You can’t convince me that wouldn’t be amazing.
PS: Her dress is Roberto Cavalli which surprises me because she doesn’t look like she’s on her way to poker night on someone’s yacht.
