It’s like she’s walking around with a wind machine today – this is Emma Thompson with fresh highlights and a great blowout in Spain presenting “Journey” an exhibition about sex trafficking. It’s our usual animated, amazing Emma. Love her so much.

Emma can currently be seen in two films in theatres right now: Pirate Radio and An Education, two diverse roles, both brilliantly played. She also just wrapped on Nanny McPhee with Maggie Gyllenhaal and Ralph Fiennes and Maggie Smith and Colin Firth and so many others for which SHE WROTE THE SCREENPLAY, still the only actor to have won Oscars for both acting and writing.

Recently Emma made headlines not for her work as an actor but as an activist. Emma’s son Tindy studied at Exeter where he was the victim of racism and bullying. So she decided to kick off a cultural awareness campaign at the school and spoke out at a lecture last month, criticising Nick Griffin, chairman of the British National Party, a Holocaust denier, who once said, among many other inflammatory statements, that: 'The ultimate aim for me and for the BNP still remains an all-white Britain.'

Needless to say, Emma and Griffin are not friends. It’s amazing that man has any friends. But the fact that he does have friends and supporters says a lot. Ignorance is alive.

Um, yeah, sorry I’m such a f-ckin’ downer. How about this? A compilation video tribute to the amazingness that is Emma Thompson.
