We’ve passed our sophomore year! Thank you for growing with us!

After kicking off in Victoria, and then stops in Edmonton, Winnipeg, Halifax, and Montreal, the Faculty of Celebrity Studies tour, 2nd year, concluded last week in London, ON, my alma mater, in the Great Hall, which...was a trip. Surrounded by portraits of the university’s chancellors, we talked sh-t about Reese Witherspoon, Brad Pitt, Tiger Woods, Jessica Alba, Gwyneth Paltrow, and more all within the context of the class syllabus:

Privacy Law: the law’s response to how celebrities and civilians are changing the definition of privacy

The Motherhood Industrial Complex: are women regressing?

Celebrity Marketing: how celebrities are affecting branded content driven by consumer response

It was amazing the difference in responses and conversations that happened in each city but we always arrived at the same conclusion:

Gossip is good, insightful... and ESSENTIAL.

Thank you so much for coming. And for coming BACK. And, always, for supporting this blog. Some of you have been reading since it was a newsletter almost 10 years ago. It was a great privilege to meet you, one of the highlights of my career.

And thank you to vitaminwater for supporting the Faculty but, more importantly, for recognising the value of Gossip and crusading on behalf of it.

See you Junior year?

Attached: a selection of photos from each city.  There were too many photos to be able to post them all so please click here to visit the vitaminwater Facebook page and see the rest.
