I believe these are the first shots of Nicole Kidman on set in Monaco as Grace Kelly. If this is a wig, it’s a very good one. Or did she take her extensions out? Princess Grace’s title, like that of her daughter-in-law Charlene, was Her Serene Highness. And Granny Freeze certainly looks serene here.
Kidman is a few years older now than the Princess was during the period of her life on which this film is based. In Sarah’s original post about the casting news, she wrote that Kidman was a good choice. She is undeniably talented, one of the best, and Sarah’s hope was that this role would restore Kidman to the status she held at the time of her Oscar win, before most discussion about her was focused on, you know.
So is this a good start?
