News broke a couple of days ago that Rihanna has signed on to be the new face of Dior and will front the brand’s upcoming Secret Garden campaign. She is the first black woman to represent the House of Dior. And here are some shots, taken March 10th but only released today, of Rihanna at Versailles at the photo shoot.

Who gets first dress choice?
From a personal brand and marketing perspective, I do love what Rihanna’s been building. She has a voice part in a movie she doesn’t have to carry (Home), we’re all waiting for the new album, the images for Dior will likely be released around the same time, they’re shooting the documentary, and she’s got a deal with Puma. Still, none of it feels like overkill. And even when she’s basically in pyjamas and slippers, with her bitch socks on, she’s still more effortlessly stylish than almost everyone else. Think of the effort you see in someone like Victoria Beckham. And how you never, ever get that vibe from Rihanna. There are few as fascinating as she is right now. F-ck, I’m scared to say this but… Beyonce might not be as fascinating.
