I love playing the long blind riddle game. Just to get a little inside baseball for a minute, those are the ones I get the gloatiest about. Because they come without a set of leading photos. And they’re unexpected… until they gradually reveal themselves. Sometimes it takes a few months. Sometimes a couple of years.
It’s been a year since Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin announced that they were consciously uncoupling. It’s been almost that long since G was rumoured to be dating Brad Falchuk. But, well, it was in play well before that. And this weekend, at Robert Downey Jr’s 50th birthday party, they were papped together for the first time.
G and Falchuk have actually been public about their relationship in private with their friends at industry events for months. As I posted exclusively in January, they were holding hands at the Mortdecai after-party (click here for a refresher) but have, up to now, always been careful about being photographed. I guess, by her standards, it’s been a socially acceptable amount of time. It’s time.
So here they are. Both divorced. Both co-parenting. You might say they have a better chance at it than Chris and his situation with Jennifer Lawrence. You know she would love that.
You know what I don’t love?
His side burns. And her f-cking kitten heels.
