I wanted to be a model for more than 10 minutes but less than 15. Like many girls, I suppose. Most of my friends have the same memories. A typical teen, eventually I moved on to other dreams. Like cutting class for 3 months in Grade 11 for no particular reason.

Too many years later and it’s amazing how some things don’t change. Girls still want to be models but the messaging is more confusing than ever.

In an industry this complicated, it’s heartening then to know that one of the biggest agencies is actively encouraging education and family involvement to improve the model reputation.

Ford Models is currently searching for the Supermodel of the World Canada in partnership with Maybelline, Diesel, and Redken.
