US Weekly reports that Garrett Hedlund has passed on becoming Christian Grey for the film adaptation of Fifty Shades Of Grey because he didn’t want to be locked into a trilogy which… I mean, if it’s really the “role every actor wants”, so what’s the problem with playing it three times? Well, Aaron Johnson recently said that he’s not into it either. So… maybe it’s not the draw, at least for certain actors, that it’s said to be?
According to US Weekly, the author, E L James doesn’t want to cast Ian Somerhalder who desperately wants it. But it might actually be that, even with casting control, she’s aiming at a higher level of actor than will likely be available to her. Fifty Shades Of Grey is due in theatres on August 1, 2014. So pretty much exactly a year. And not only are they still looking for their Christian Grey, they also need to find their Anastasia Steele.
