Every few weeks or so they either rumour about George and Amal Clooney getting divorced or they rumour about her getting pregnant. They’re not getting divorced and they’re not pregnant. But they do love their dogs. And they just adopted another one.
This is Millie, the basset hound. George and Amal adopted Millie from the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society. Millie is four years old. They found her a few weeks ago just hanging outside a restaurant, hoping for scraps. She’s a hound. That makes sense. What doesn’t make sense is why she was wandering around with nowhere to go. At some point she had to have had a home. I don’t want to get angry about why she ended up with no home because she basically hit the jackpot of all homes. Like a LOT of homes.
Homes in Mexico and Bel Air and Italy and London. Millie went from zero homes to at least four homes and the private jet lifestyle. Also, she now has two brothers. Einstein is George’s old cocker spaniel, also a rescue. Then when he and Amal hooked up, they picked up Louie, another cocker spaniel, from another shelter. Louie went with George and Amal to make sure Millie was legit. He approved and now Millie is a Clooney. Like Amal, Millie will enjoy being a celebrity. This girl looks good in sunglasses.
So Millie gets a new life and Louie gets some companionship. I say this because Einstein is at least 10 years old. And I have some experience now with senior dogs. Exactly 6 weeks ago today we lost Marcus. Which is still hard. But it’s also hard on our younger dog Barney. Barney’s never been an only dog. He went from his litter straight home with us where he had a big brother in Marcus. And Marcus was his guide to the world. So he’s kinda f-cked up now that Marcus is gone. If Einstein ever goes then, well, now Louie doesn’t have to be alone.
I’m kinda in love with the Clooneys now. Millie’s like their Prince Big G for me.
