Madonna showed up at the British Comedy Awards last night and things got a little testy when Jonathan Ross, her co-presenter, crossed the line with this tasteless jibe: “Congratulations on your lovely little black baby, David" which elicited an amused response. Not to be outdone however, Madonna replied: "You might be going home with a black eye" which elicited an even more amused response. Conflicting reports about her reaction afterwards. Some say she stormed off, others say she was goodnatured, I’m inclined to believe the former. And I’m also very surprised Gwen Stefani has supposedly followed in Madge’s high diva footsteps, shunning her fans the other day on TRL and keeping them at arm’s length during her appearance.
