A tulle skirt is not my thing, unless it’s done almost ironically like Carrie Bradshaw. This here on Gwendoline Christie, however, totally works. Because she’s the one wearing it, for starters. But also because of the mash-up. It’s two dresses in one dress. It’s a puffy tulle dress under a satin prom dress in no colour, so that the forced double design feature isn’t overtaken. Imagine if this was blue?
Horrifying, right?
The fact that it’s a muted silver grey is what makes it not offensive at all. And, again, of course, Gwendoline Christie is wearing it.
