Gwyneth Paltrow’s most recent newsletter is about flying. I don’t know if I travel as much as she does, because, like, she travels all the time, but I do fly a lot. On average every 10 days to two weeks. Needless to say, this GOOP to me then is one of the most memorable. Right off the top she shares her airline playlist. And OF COURSE the first song is Jay-Z. How does she read and listen? I cannot listen to music while I read. I can’t listen to music when I write, either.
Anyway, the rest of it is all about how rich people move around the world and the benefits of business and first class. According to G’s friend, some airlines instruct their staff to look for attractive, well dressed people and offer upgrades which, I dunno, is supposed to be incentive to get all styled up when you fly. But how does that account for a variety in taste? What if you get all geared up only to find out that the person who’s making the call prefers people who dress in Ed Hardy? Then you’re back in coach where you belong but not wearing your comfortable clothes.
Am totally buying that silver germ spray. The other day I sat next to a nosepicker on my flight.

But what about GOOP’s house?
TMZ is reporting that G and Chris Martin have just closed on a $10.5 million estate in LA. It’s GORGEOUS. And so, SO, SO Gwyneth.
White. Tasteful. Very east coast as opposed to the Spanish style design that’s popular over in California. Almost as though she had a Hamptons home transported west. There appears to be a luxury...play shed? Of course a spectacular kitchen. And a very twee front door. God I wish she’d just give up the GOOP and create a Tumblr like her BFF Beyonce and post her personal photos instead. It would be so much more interesting.
G’s new property is her third - she and Chris also own in London and New York. As for why now and why LA, considering that she calls London her base, I wonder if she’ll be making a stronger push back into acting.
