This is Coldplay rehearsing today for their performance at the Closing Ceremony at the Paralympics on Sunday. Coldplay is also expected to perform tonight during the live telecast for Stand Up To Cancer, executive produced by Chris Martin’s wife Gwyneth Paltrow. Gwyneth is then due to be here, in Toronto, at TIFF on Saturday night. My producer Danielle, who’s doing all the assignments, asked me if I wanted that carpet. I agonised. And ultimately I declined. I have never met my G. I don’t think I want to. I want to know her in my head and not for real. I think I might be on Cloud Atlas instead. The schedule is still changing.
As for Coldplay, British gossips are reporting that Jay-Z may be joining his best friend on stage. Very exciting. The only problem is that the story originated with The Mirror. So, you know.
