My G wore white again to the Hollywood premiere of Country Strong last night. We already know she has too much superiority up her ass. Is this really the way to convince us that she can play country-worn, fragile on the outside but on the inside is something you can’t crush? If anything, at least in that dress, all we remember is that that’s Gwyneth Paltrow, always the thinnest and the tallest, and the most popular.
Look for example how sleek she is in this Emilio Pucci dress. And then poor Leighton Meester comes along with her high school dance curls and that busy ass dress and even though it’s Christian Dior, next to G, she still looks like the girl who juuuust got a makeover for charity. Right?
And it’s not like I’m greatly enamoured of Gwyneth’s dress, at least not from the back. It’d be one thing had they just left it open. Hot. Those strings take that sh-t low budget though, non? I mean, with those strings, all of a sudden this is a Music Video Girl Dress, only longer. You’ve seen it right? The Music Video Girl in her red dress cut up to her cooch with the strings holding together an open back, grinding up on the player pimp with his shades on under a fedora sitting down with his legs wide open, a bottle of champagne in one hand and half her ass in the other. In other words, Kim Kardashian. Those back strings are totally Kim Kardashian. See now I’m just embarrassed for her.
But at least the face is better. The other day with her swollen eyes, many of you thought G may have gone in for some tweaking. Click here for a refresher. I don’t see much evidence of that here. If anything she looks like she’s breaking out. There’s a lot more foundation happening now than compared to what she normally wears.
Also in attendance last night, G’s new BFF Faith Hill. She and Faith became close during filming in Nashville. And Faith interviewed G for the new InStyle. Have to laugh at Gwyneth’s face on the cover. That is what you call condescending. And this is what you call a Giant UGH – the way G and Faith are mommy-gushing about their children. This conversation must have happened while they were pushing their bugalooboo strollers and sipping lattes.
Apparently Gwyneth’s son Moses hearts Faith’s daughter Audrey:
“Moses … we might really become family when he marries Audrey! My son is in love with your daughter!"
To which Faith replied:
"Don't you just love our babies?"
And Gwyneth answers back:
"I love mine, and I love yours!"
I would rather listen to Miley Cyrus than have to sit through an hour of that.
