Gwyneth Paltrow was among the many who wore no-colour last night at the Met Ball. While her Stella McCartney was an improvement over the no-colour choices she showed off on Oscar night – click here for a refresher - it was, for me, meh at best. Not terribly inspiring, not terribly remarkable, and worse still...

Those shoes.

They’re, like, Satin. And Peach. OMG, when did this happen to her?!? Please make it stop.

You know, it’s been exactly 10 years since Gwyneth showed up at the Oscars in that infamous McQueen and the side plait. See below. You remember that? She was crucified for it. And it may not have been the right venue. The Academy is certainly not the place for fashion forward. But she wore it before the times. And then shrugged, as if to apologise but not really, for being so ahead of the times, and 5 years later everyone started doing their hair like that, and her McQueen was reassessed and reappreciated.

I wish that Gwyneth showed up last night. I wish that Gwyneth could come back and stomp on the Gwyneth who wears peach satin heels to the motherf-cking MET GALA!!!

By the way, Iman tweeted a photo of G and the Stella girls at her table during dinner. Cute picture. Also – Blake Lively really, really wants to be a part of that.
