Here are some new photos of Gwyneth Paltrow at LAX yesterday in a fitted turtleneck over boyfriend jeans. How many of us can walk around in a fitted turtleneck and not feel like we’re holding in all our gas? Seriously, the longer I suck in, the more I feel like I have to fart. Anyway, the reason G doesn’t have to worry about that is because she asks for extra abs. Of course she does.
Have you read the new feature in VOGUE? G’s promoting the Goop collaboration with Juice Beauty and the piece actually opens on her doing sit-ups. She’s just done a series of them. And it’s not enough so she tells Tracy Anderson she wants to do more. That’s exactly how I would have started the article too. Just to get you in the teeth-clenching mood to read all about her new line of makeup and skin care products.
We are reminded, again, that G works out for two hours a day, while managing her children’s extracurricular activities and homework and running her business. She wakes up at 6:30am or earlier every day wants to show her kids “by example how hard I work, and what it takes to be a serious person”.
I wish we were all reading this together because I really, really want to see your faces right now, the variations in your expressions. Would we set a record for a group eye-roll? Is there such a record? If not, Guinness should really think about adding it.

In other G news, you know when she and Chris Martin broke up everyone was all like, yeah! Now he can eat burgers and cookies and doesn’t have to be restricted by her oppressive, draconian dietary requirements anymore!
Well you can’t blame her for that anymore. He just revealed in an interview that he fasts one day a week:
“I fast once a week. I started doing it because I was sick one time, and this guy said to me, ‘Just try not eating for a day cause it will make your body feel healthier.’ I did it and I found out that I can sing better. And also I felt so grateful for food. I did it once a week and it makes me just grateful for everything in a way that I wasn’t so much before. If you fast for a while, about 15 hours in, you get a little antsy, so you’ve got to be careful who you’re talking to at that point. I think that that feeling of gratitude and stuff naturally brings out a joyous feeling, so, and also when you’re hungry you are very focused, so both sides of it I think help creativity.”
Most nutritionists probably don’t agree. You know when you have to have a blood test or have surgery you’re not supposed to eat from the night before and not in the morning, sometimes not even water? It’s the worst, right? Not to say that I’ve never not eaten for an entire day. But I find it’s harder when it’s not accidental. Like if you intend to fast it’s harder. If you end up being so busy one day, or all kinds of sh-t blows up and you’re running around from one place to the other and then you realise it’s 10pm and you haven’t eaten all day, it’s totally different, right? Because you’re not actively telling yourself, hey, you’re not supposed to eat today. Sorry. I don’t know how I got here. I think it’s because I have chilli for lunch today waiting for me after the show.
