Many of you have seen this article on PEOPLE today and emailed in a fury:

Look, I get it. And you know, if you’ve been reading my blog for a while, that even though I love her, I will sh-t on Gwyneth Paltrow any time for any number of reasons. Legitimate ones.

It’s just...

This time I think you’re misdirecting your hate. Sorry. You can yell at me for this one but I think I might yell right back. She’s not the asshole in this situation. Having said that, I understand why you jumped to that conclusion. If you only read the link on PEOPLE.

A woman called Lara Lundstrom Clarke claims that she was on her way to work on September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Centre. She jaywalked across the street to get to the subway but was almost run over by Gwyneth’s Mercedes SUV. They stopped, looked at each other through the glass, a movie moment happened, and according to Clarke, she ended up missing her train and getting to work late and that’s how Gwyneth saved her life... like Sliding Doors. Which is giving all of us the major eyerolls. And most of you are directing it at GOOP.

But this story originated at The Morton Report where Clarke goes into full detail about that day. And poses for a photo with Gwyneth on a magazine cover. AND recounts what she was WEARING on 9/11. And provides several personal photos of her with friends who were not so fortunate. AND a copy of the letter that she wrote to Gwyneth.

Who’s the starf-cker disrespecting the memory of those lost by dragging a celebrity’s name into the conversation? I don’t think you can put that on Gwyneth. Click here, scroll through that article, and tell me if you can really put it on Gwyneth. Yes, Gwyneth is annoying as F-CK. But try, try to put aside how annoying she is, in almost every other situation, and, after clicking on this link what reason you’d have to slap her in the face for this.

As for Gwyneth’s publicist confirming Clarke’s claim and revealing that she’s “deeply moved”, what else is she supposed to say? She calls this lady’s story absurd (which it is) and she’s the one who ends up being blamed for picking on a civilian even if she’s a liar. She doesn’t react and you’ll accuse her of being coldhearted. If she’s anything BUT “deeply moved” then she’s being insensitive. Gwyneth can’t win. Like, even now you’re still trying to think of a way to make her responsible for this even though it’s the Clarke lady who went public with all this in the first place.

So here, why don’t I give you something else to fixate on? You want to rag on Gwyneth’s ass? Giv’er on this quote:

“And I still refuse to use silicone, Botox or other of those gimmicks out of pure vanity. 'But a breast correction after breast feeding — why not? There's actually nothing else to restore the original condition, isn't there?” (Source)

Does this mean she did get a breast lift?

As for whether or not she’s had Botox - many of you are convinced of it. But she has looked like such haggard sh-t lately, like really really rough and weathered, I’m not actually sure anymore.
