There was a time when Gwyneth Paltrow would go low for weeks, maybe even months, on end. She was living in London. She kept herself away from places where we could find her. And then…
She moved to LA.
And became a lifestyle entrepreneur. She calls is “contextual commerce”. How about a blogger who sells sh-t? That’s the language I understand. But anyway, my point is that she pops up a lot more often than she did before. The brand requires her to be visible.
Yesterday she was out at an event to honour Tracy Anderson in Beverly Hills. Tracy, as you know, is not only her trainer but also her business partner. So you could say she’s not only supporting her friend but also supporting herself.
Now that there are new photos of her though, it’s easy for me to segue to the new issue of GOOP. It’s a good one. It’s a new collaboration but the genesis for it came at…school.
Most moms meet up with other moms and decide to start a book club. Gwyneth Paltrow meets up with Monigue Lhuillier and they decide to start a capsule collection, all in the spirit of “moms”, and dedicated to their sons.
Oh now it makes sense. G wore Monique Lhuillier for the opening night of her mother’s play The Country House – click here for a refresher. I remember thinking to myself…
I don’t remember G wearing Monique Lhuillier. Carrie Underwood wears Monique Lhuillier. Hayden Panettiere wears Monique Lhuillier. The MiniVan Majority likes Monique Lhuillier. (Check that strapless dress with the floral print. That’s totally MiniVan Majority.) Now G is repping Monique Lhuillier for GOOP. And there’s video!
Also in this issue:
Hair
Foundation
Baking
and…
Dallas!?
Sh-t. Everything is covered.
