OK Magazine is reporting that her marriage is in trouble, listing some pretty weak reasons behind the story: that Gwyneth and Chris Martin haven’t been seen together publicly in many months, that Gwynnie didn’t talk much about her husband during a recent trip to the hair salon and that when she did talk about him her voice sounded “vague and unenthusiastic”.

Clearly they don’t know my girl. Because she always sounds that way! It’s the drawl of condescension, remember? I’m honouring you by talking to you, you should be thankful.

Besides, is Gwyneth really the type to yammer away about her marriage while getting her hair done? Of course not. But she really is the type to yammer away about her gifted her children are – how Apple, only 3, is probably already composing verse in iambic pentametre and how Moses is so musically inclined he has developed a 4 octave range.

That’s the Gwyneth I know and love.

Still… while their details may be lacking, the heart of the OK article is not entirely off base. As I already reported weeks ago, there have been rumours that Chris is not true. That there has been a dalliance with a woman in London. She is not famous, she is not part of the industry. Nothing slamdunk, nothing confirmed…but it’s out there, a lot of people seem to believe it.
