Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton have confirmed to PEOPLE exclusively that it’s over:
“(They’ve) separated amicably earlier this year and have continued to be friends and co-parent their children. We would ask that you respect their privacy and that of their children during this time."
The timing of this is curious. Burton’s new film, Big Eyes, is due in theatres this week. But, also, traffic is slowing down this week. No one is paying attention. So are they telling us now because no one is really paying attention or are they telling us to make us pay attention? It’s not like a single Tim Burton is going to motivate you to see Big Eyes, is it?
It was over a year ago, October 2013, that Burton was caught kissing an identified blonde woman. At the time, HBC’s rep issued a statement calling the situation “absolute nonsense”, insisting that Burton wasn’t cheating and that all was fine between the two. Click here for a refresher. Now that the two have officially ended their relationship after 13 years though, pay attention to the blonde. Is she his Amber Heard?
