The Man From U.N.C.L.E. comes out in a couple of weeks. So Henry Cavill is on the cover of UK Men’s Health probably talking about working out; the interview hasn’t been released yet, although I did find one detail that’s supposedly from the magazine:
For Superman, Henry has to add a ton of muscles, but he needs to look a lot slimmer to play Solo, and his trainers keep him in check. In the September issue of Men’s Health U.K., we learn about Henry Cavill’s workout, and it’s not easy to do.
According to British tailor, Timothy Everest, he witnessed first hand the aftermath of the calorie restrictions placed on the otherwise charming actor. It was in between films when he had to slim down for U.N.C.L.E. that Cavill showed his frustration during a fitting session.
In true Superman form, Henry accidentally broke the changing room door and came out in his underwear holding the door in his hands. He was not happy.
“What the f*ck am I meant to do with this?” he asked more to himself than the amused onlookers. Everest kept the door in question as a reminder that “Superman was here.” (Source)
For a while now I’ve been perplexed about Henry’s inability to properly wear a pair of pants. Is this why? Because he doesn’t understand the tailor?
Also, how come he’s standing on a couch?
I understand that photographers are artists and they want to try new things. But that’s a drab looking room. And a drab looking couch. And having a goodlooking man standing on top of it isn’t going to change that. Also, the low angle is a terrible angle. Nobody looks good on a low angle. We all know this because we all take pictures on our phones.
