It has been four years since Hugh Grant’s last romantic comedy, Did You Hear About The Morgans? in 2009. It was abysmal. Two years before that, Grant starred in Music And Lyrics with Drew Barrymore. Both films were written and directed by Marc Lawrence who also worked with Grant in Two Weeks Notice with Sandra Bullock. Here’s Grant today in Brooklyn shooting Lawrence’s new untitled movie. He plays Ray Michaels. Fifteen years ago Ray won an Oscar for Best Screenplay and then it all went to sh-t, personally and professionally. Hard up for cash, he accepts a teaching position at a liberal arts college somewhere in New England. Enter the single mom. Obviously. According to IMDB, Marisa Tomei is the single mom. Hugh Grant is an infamous misanthrope. And there are a lot of stories about Marisa Tomei. So that should be a fun set.
