I have no plans to be in New York before the end of the year. But if I did, one of the first items on my checklist would be to see Alan Rickman on stage.
He’s performing in Seminar at the Golden Theatre playing Leonard, a literary icon teaching a private writing class and favouring some students over others. The opening was last night. Here he is during curtain call and at the after-party. The production runs until early March and if you’re there, like, you are totally going, right? I would go. To listen to him enunciate for 2 hours, live, no re-takes? Please. Am now trying to rearrange my January to make it happen.
Bitch of a question: if you could only spare one night on Broadway, would it be Hugh Jackman or Alan Rickman?
