Just landed in Vancouver, not a bad way to come home, greeted by new photos of Iker Casillas who was honoured today in Navalacruz, Spain, his hometown, mostly for his contributions to the national football team, and also maybe a little for being so hot doing it.

Look at the townsfolk all gathered there to love him – the village ladies and the children celebrating their favourite son who returned without his girl Sara Carbonero which may have been a good idea politically, not letting his relationship overshadow the purpose of the day, but is obviously a buzzkill for me since, well, I love him more when he’s loving her.

Still, looking at Iker isn’t a terrible way to get over jetlag even though I worry sometimes about his hair.
