Dear Gossips,

Woman – An Anthology is a collection of short stories featuring the work of renowned writers Stephen King, Alice Munro, Lynn Coady, Robert E Howard, and more. All proceeds from the sale of Woman – An Anthology will support the Breast Cancer Society of Canada, funding programs that focus on both research and prevention. Only 1000 copies of the book will be released in hardcover in the fall.

A Kickstarter campaign is now underway to finalise the project, covering printing and production costs only. It’s a modest goal and they are almost there. Please click here to learn more about Woman – An Anthology and to help if you can. It’s a celebration of Woman in word. It’s a beautiful way to honour those who are fighting with a terrible disease. It’s because almost all of us know someone, too many. But also… it’s because we love to read! About women who are complicated and real, obnoxious but irresistible, different but like us.

On that note… I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, on July 29th, that the next book on my reading list was Liane Moriarty’s Big Little Lies. Click here for a refresher. Did you finish yet? I’m halfway through my second read because, holy sh-t, so many feelings. In other words, get on it. By the way, Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon have optioned the book and plan to star in the film adaptation together. So if you haven’t already, read it with that in mind, and throw in a Gwyneth Paltrow, just to see how that plays out.

Yours in gossip,

Lainey
