"It's not that what he says is so incredible, it's how many people don't know that this exists." -- Duana, after reading the candid new Joe Jonas interview with Vulture posted last night.
Pffft. After so many Disney examples, how could they not know that this exists? Well, if that's your position, is it willful ignorance then, the ones who still decide for their children to move forward in the direction of fame? Reminds me of a quote attributed to Iris Burton who specialised in child stars. Her client list included Kirsten Dunst, Drew Barrymore, Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, and, most notably, the Phoenixes, Joaquin and, of course, River. That’s quite a track record – and you can read from that any way you want. Burton once declared that:
“I hate to say it, but kids are pieces of meat. I’ve never had anything but filet mignon. I’ve never had hamburger. My kids are the choice meat.”
That was back in the 80s. You think it’s gotten better these days? The younger they are, the more lucrative they seem to be. Fittingly, it’s Britney Jean Spears’s birthday today.
