Dear Gossips,
Last year there was no question Your Voice In My Head by Emma Forrest was my Best Book of the year. I didn’t have one in 2012. There were several books I liked, a lot, but it wasn’t love; I didn’t fall in love. It’s ok, right? To go a year without falling in book-love?
Many of you have emailed for a holiday reading recommendation. Have you heard of the Daughter Of Smoke And Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor yet? The first book is pretty average, but it will pay off in the second, just released last month, called Days Of Blood And Starlight. Then you’ll just be mad at having to wait another year for the final installment.
Also, giving or receiving Caitlin Moran’s How To Be A Woman will make you very happy. It might even be required reading if I’m ever the Dean of the Faculty Of Celebrity Studies at a liberal arts university somewhere in New England.
