Dear Gossips,
Will there come a day when appearing on the Jimmy Kimmel post-Oscar celebrity video becomes more important than attending the actual Oscars? If and when that day comes, will the Jimmy Kimmel post-Oscar celebrity video, like the actual Oscars, end up a giant letdown? Or a debatable one?
Why am I making my head hurt with so much meta when I’ve been up all night?
As per annual tradition, today’s column is all Oscar. Duana and I have been writing through the night. We’re breaking down as many moments and as many looks as possible. There will be a LOT of photos. There will be a lot of yelling and fighting. Many of you liked Michelle Williams’s dress the best. We... did not. Many of you hated Jennifer Lopez’s. We...did not.
Please keep tweeting us @duanaelise and @laineygossip and or send us your emails. It’s our favourite, reading your messages as we go along. We were on Twitter through the red carpet arrivals and the show proper. If you want an advance taste of what we’ll be posting, check us out here and here to get started.
Thank you so much for hanging out with us today. We’ve been excited all weekend to do this, like a group chat about the biggest night in our business. It means a lot to us that you’d want to come to our party.
The site will be heavy today and will cover multiple pages. Please scroll down and click through to make sure you get to them all.
Yours in gossip,
Lainey
PS. Angelina Jolie became a punchline at the Oscars 2012. JOLIE-ing is a JOKE now. Would you have believed???
