As US Weekly first reported yesterday, Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden got married. While US broke the news though, PEOPLE was the first outlet with an official statement from the couple:
"We couldn't be happier to begin our new journey together surrounded by our closest family and friends."
PEOPLE, by the way, normally closes its issue on Monday night. Coincidence or conspiracy? We’ll find out on Wednesday.
Gwyneth Paltrow was there. And Reese Witherspoon. And Toni Collette. And Drew Barrymore was a bridesmaid. And of course Nicole Richie and Joel Madden whose son, Sparrow, was the ringbearer.
So, after all these years of dating dickheads, Cam’s found her guy. A good guy? You know… I think I might believe that. Is this dumb?

PS. Anthony Duclair scored the first goal for Canada during the gold medal game at the World Junior Hockey Championships and Darnell Nurse was named the Best Player. It was a gorgeous day for diversity on ice.
