What sucks about the West Coast time zone is that you’re always trying to catch up. I set my alarm for between 4am and 4:30am every day and still, sometimes, I always feel like I’m behind. But there are some advantages, especially during award shows.
Tony Awards on Sunday! We are live-blogging! For me, that means a 5pm start and by the time it’s done, it’s only 8pm which means I can switch over to the Game Of Thrones Season 3 finale (on HBO Canada and HBO) and still be able to get in some reading before bed. Duana won’t be so lucky. She has to work on the recap.
Join us here if you’re watching the Tonys too!
As for Game Of Thrones -- the most intense episode of the entire series somehow did not involve Tyrion Lannister. The Lannisters will return then to say goodbye before leaving us for 10 months. But will they give up a demented child king to even things out?
How to fill the GOT void? Well, our favourite hate-watch is coming back. A preview was released this week. It’ll make you want to punch your own face. So, obviously, I’ll be watching every minute of Season 2 of The Newsroom, premiering July 14.
Have a great weekend!
