Dear Gossips,

Sweet thing
That was my favourite song off The Score. And I loved the video too. Just watched it back a few minutes ago, first time in years and it was like being back in my final year at university -- if The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was the soundtrack of, as Duana described it here, “your smart, no bullsh-t best friend”, The Score was the party that came before: willful youthful bravado.
So of course I obsessively read the excerpt from Wyclef’s new book Purpose: An Immigrant’s Story, especially since the focus was on the making of The Score and his volatile relationship with Lauryn at the same time... as he was about to marry his wife. And did he just do that? Did he just, like, take credit for making Lauryn crazy? Sort of? Maybe? His point, I think, is that The Score could have only been created under those circumstances and at that time. If I were an artist I would find that terrifying and so terribly random. Click here when you have a few minutes to read the excerpt.
We need to talk about Blake Lively today. And Jennifer Aniston.
