Big news in the publishing world today:

JK Rowling will release a new novel for adults with a different publisher and not with Bloomsbury which published all the Potters. That’s the only thing we know. More details are coming later this year including exactly when the book will come out, what it’s called, and what it’ll be about.

I feel like I need to run down to Baja Fresh for a thousand calorie meal plus a tortilla soup just to process this - OMG!

Here’s Jo planting a time capsule in Scotland last November to commemorate groundbreaking for a research clinic helping multiple sclerosis patients. Jo donated 10 million pounds to build the facility. Her mother died of the disease.

In other book and movie news, somewhat connected...

Remember The Night Circus? Click here to read my review of the novel. I wrote at the time that I thought The Night Circus would make a better movie than the book. And the movie will be produced by David Heyman. Sound familiar? He also produced 8 movies starring Daniel Radcliffe. A screenwriter has now been hired for the project. Moira Buffini previously wrote Jane Eyre (Mia Wasikowska).

I’m currently reading a new release called The Miseducation Of Cameron Post by Emily M Danforth. Lesbian YA! And, like so many of you, I’m waiting, impatiently, for the sequel to Divergent. Insurgent is due out in May. Like The Night Circus, Divergent is also being adapted for the screen and also by Summit, the studio behind Twilight. Hold your groan. Summit has been folded into Lionsgate. Lionsgate is The Hunger Games. And I think we can agree that The Hunger Games looks promising, right?
