Jake Gyllenhaal was in Brooklyn today shooting scenes with a baby on a carousel for the film Demolition, for those of you who are into that kind of thing. He was also doing some interviews this morning to promote Nightcrawler, opening next Friday, Halloween. So if you want to be thrilled, but not necessarily by a conventional horror movie, go see skinny Jake going TMZ on crime scenes. Mashable posted a new redband scene from the film today – I’ve attached below.
The Hollywood Reporter is calling Jake’s performance in Nightcrawler “an Oscar hopeful” and he’s been included in a roundtable of Indie Contenders that will take place on November 9. Other well-known Indie Contenders include Marion Cotillard, Tilda Swinton, Kristen Stewart, Bill Hader, and Michelle Monaghan.
