James McAvoy kicked off previews for his latest West End run on Friday in a new production of The Ruling Class. He plays Jack, “the 14th Earl of Gurney… a possible paranoid schizophrenic with a Messiah complex, (who) inherits the title of the 14th Earl of Gurney after his father passes away in a bizarre accident. Singularly unsuited to a life in the upper echelons of elite society, Jack finds himself at the centre of a ruthless power struggle as his scheming family strives to uphold their reputation”.
Press night for The Ruling Class is January 27. On Friday, while leaving the theatres, James stopped to sign autographs and hang with fans. Because he has always been that guy. The sweetest guy. And sexy as hell.
