Janet Jackson announced on her website this morning that there’s a new tour. We already knew about the new album coming in the fall. And to support it, she’ll be going live. She’s coming for us live. She’s coming BACK for us… live.
If you’re not smashing around your office or desk or on the bus, hootin’ and hollerin’ with excitement, I don’t know what’s wrong with you. It’s JANET JACKSON.
The tour is called Unbreakable. It will kick off in Vancouver on August 31. She’ll hit a few stops in Canada before heading to the US. So far only North American dates have been released. But I can’t imagine she won’t take this worldwide.
Interestingly enough, the first show is the day after the MTV VMAs. You think she might make an appearance? It’s a short flight between Vancouver and LA where the VMAs are presumably going down. I want to believe this…but Janet is a perfectionist. I don’t know if she’d want to take herself away from her preparations the night before the big launch. I don’t know if that kind of a distraction would be a good idea. Judging from the dance audition video she posted, we are going to see some CHOREOGRAPHY. But I’m also not a world class performer. If Janet says she’s ready, I believe she’s ready.
