Covering a story that originates from STAR Magazine? Not my favourite. But they’ve managed to get some quotes from Matt LeBlanc’s father and it’s about how he may or may not have been messing around with Jennifer Aniston while she was married to Brad Pitt.
“He had fun, that’s for sure. He even had a relationship with one of the girls … Jen. They would make out in the dressing rooms. He told me about it — it was when she was married to Brad Pitt.”
Paul and Matt LeBlanc have been estranged for years. Which probably means Matt cut off his dad. And, well, are you curious about how dad is making money? Whether or not he made money for his “revelations”?
Here are two more quotes from Paul LeBlanc that should make you suspicious:
“Matthew is not a compassionate individual. He is a control freak, and the more money he has, the more fucking ruthless he is.”
“One minute he’s extremely generous, and the next he’s ripping you apart.”
A greedy source is generally not a good source.
Famous or not, family dysfunction is relatable. And parents? They don’t always tell the truth and they’re not always loving. I touched on this in my book – about the time my ma was sexually abused and tried to kill herself afterwards and her parents didn’t give a sh-t, about how her parents bankrupted the family with their gambling and multiple infidelities, their self-indulgence and selfishness.
It’s not the Brad-Jen-Matt gossip here that’s the point of this story, it’s how money and celebrity can exacerbate family drama. Jennifer Aniston understands this. She and her mother haven’t had the best relationship either. And Angelina Jolie understands this too. You’ve heard the sh-t that her father has said about her in the press.
Oh and finally, I got a lot of email and tweetback yesterday after writing that Gwyneth Paltrow invented conscious uncoupling holiday. You were all like, Brad and Jen did it in Anguilla. Do you really consider Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston a conscious uncoupling?
