As mentioned the other day, “I don’t need writers” Jessica Alba is currently promoting the new Fockers movie. It didn’t happen on television but apparently she was asked in a round table situation with the press to clarify her comments from that Elle article in which she asstalked about real actors and not sticking with the script. Of course. She’s backtracking now. Because her agent probably tore a strip off her ass – that’s 10% she’s risking him, dumb twat.
Not surprisingly, she’s denying she ever said it. She’s blaming it on the magazine, the writer, she’s claiming she’s been misquoted. Let’s review her (alleged) original statement:
“Good actors never use the script unless it’s amazing writing. All the good actors I’ve worked with, they all say whatever they want to say.”
Here’s Alba’s side:
“That wasn’t true. Just so it’s clear, films don’t even get made and nothing ever gets a green light unless there’s great material. That’s always a #1 thing before you can get a director, actors or a studio even interested in anything.”
Great material? Let’s keep our sh-t in check, shall we? Honey wasn’t great material and it still got made so...
Hilariously though, Jimmy Fallon referenced Honey when she was on his show the other night. She could barely hold down her Bitch. She is SO f-cking annoying in this interview.
Anyway, in the end, Alba accuses Elle of f-cking around with her statements:
“There was an article written recently where I was completely and totally paraphrased and things were taken out of context and mushed together. It was a four-hour interview that got condensed into a page and a half for a fashion magazine. When I was doing my first job where I was talking to dolphins in The New Adventures of Flipper when I was 13 – it was a fake dolphin, we had a great relationship [laughs] - when he would go off script, the dolphin, I didn’t know how to. He would squeak and I couldn’t squeak back. It took me like 15 years to learn to do that - and lots of therapy. Basically I was saying that I didn’t have the courage and didn’t really understand how to bring my own thing to the table and I would never veer away from the script, ever, no matter what. Even when actors would go off book, I didn’t know what to say.”

It’s so easy to believe a pretty celebrity. That’s what People Magazine is for. But credibility has to be earned. Has she earned hers? A girl with a really great body who once vandalised a United Way billboard on behalf of a shark charity and then blamed the shark charity for leading her astray....

But this story, it reminds me of Jane Bussmann’s book The Worst Date Ever. This used to be Jane’s job. Interviewing celebrities like Ashton Kutcher, freelancing articles for major fashion and entertainment magazines. And the f-ckery of it all when celebrities decide to be assholes. And editors too. This is the true sh-t that everyone is so afraid to peel back and reveal.
