It’s that old Hollywood look. A shiny satin/sateen stress, in champagne or red or green, as seen here on Jessica Chastain, subtly falling off the shoulder showing a hint of skin, sensually but not scandalously. Never been my favourite. But when it’s done right, you can’t really object.
What happens when it’s messy though?
Or when it photographs messy?
Because doesn’t this look messy? The way it’s bouncing the light? And too big in the chest area? Sloppy, right? And she’s a dream to dress, so I can’t understand why they can’t quite figure it out.
