It was announced recently that Kristen Stewart had signed on to an upcoming movie with Jim Sturgess called The Big Shoe. Naturally there followed reports that the two were hot for each other and that Robert Pattinson should be worried. Hollywood Life in particular noted that “Jim and Kristen have major chemistry, they really seem to click. They were talking up a storm about England and how bad the weather is there. They talked about their dogs and music. Jim is a really talented musician, so they connected on that a lot too.”
The problem with the story is that Mickey O’Brien is still cited as Jim’s girlfriend when in fact, Jim’s new girlfriend is actually Bae Doona, with whom he co-starred in Cloud Atlas. They had a super hot sex scene together. Here they are, walking arm in arm after lunch on Abbot Kinney in Venice Beach a couple of weeks ago. I interviewed them together at the Cloud Atlas junket too. There was nothing overt to suggest that it was happening but I remember thinking it was cute that she was struggling with the language and he was helping her out. Now that I look back there may also have been a few secret glances, a giggle here there. The way it is between two people who are fresh in love. Might have to put him back on the Five List for not being “white only”.
