Willie Nelson played a show in Boston last night. And Johnny Depp played a set with him. Willie apparently introduced him as just “Johnny”. Which, fine, I guess he didn’t want to upstage the main act but if he wasn’t Johnny DEPP, would he have been invited to be there in the first place? Like does he really have such mad skills on the guitar that it doesn’t matter WHO he is?
There does seem to be an advantage to him playing guitar though in that when he’s on the guitar, he de-accessorises, possibly because all that feather and scarf sh-t that he’s always wearing gets in the way of the music.
He actually doesn’t look bad here, although these aren’t the most high quality photos.
