Johnny Depp was not nominated for an Oscar. You think Amber Heard was more disappointed than he was?
Well, she definitely gets to go to the Grammys now. Does that help?
The Recording Academy announced this morning that The Hollywood Vampires will perform at the Grammys on Monday, February 15th. It will be the band’s first televised appearance. They have an album out now and apparently the proceeds will benefit the Academy’s charity MusiCares.
The Hollywood Vampires was founded by Alice Cooper. Other band members include Joe Perry, Matt Sorum, Duff McKagain, Tommy Henriksen, and Bruce Witkin. And while all those musicians are quite famous in their own right, the most famous among them, no doubt, is Johnny Depp. Um, do you think that’s why they asked him to be in the band?
What?
F-ck no.
Johnny Depp might be an actor, but he’s a rocker most and first, OK? And it’s about goddamn time he’s invited to the Grammys, occupying the same stage as Justin Bieber. JB, by the way, was also announced as a performer. He’ll be with Skrillex and Diplo on Where Are U Now. Are you ready to admit that Purpose is a really good album yet?
