And I just wrote the other day in this post here from Monday that:
“Holy sh-t. Jon Hamm hasn’t looked this good in a long time. Fresh and well-rested and…happy.”
Now we know one of the reasons. TMZ reported yesterday that he’s just come out of rehab. Hamm’s reps confirmed that he spent 30 days at a treatment centre in Connecticut and released this statement:
"With the support of his longtime partner Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm recently completed treatment for his struggle with alcohol addiction. They have asked for privacy and sensitivity going forward."
He was indeed the fun guy with a beer. I saw it at the Olympics. But at some point, the consequences of being the fun guy with the beer start to catch up. So this is great news. Recovery, as you know, is ongoing work. Working hard on sobriety though is never a cliché. This is encouraging news.
