Diane Kruger is a big deal in France. When she arrived last night with Joshua Jackson, the crowd outside erupted and Canal +, the French network live broadcasting the AMFAR carpet listed her as one of only 7 or 8 interviews planned from the event.
So it"s actually the standard wherever they go. Diane is considered the A star and no one gives a sh-t about Josh. Except for the Canadian network. That"s us.
Last time I saw him 2 weeks ago at the Costume Institute Gala in New York I felt like the prom queen when he knew me by name given that I"ve only interviewed him like 5 times in the last 2 years.
So I called to him and he came over to chat. He was wearing YSL. Again. I suspect it was the same suit he wore to the Met last time. Looked hot. And we joked about how last year George Clooney auctioned off a kiss and he was all over Madonna and Sharon Stone doing the same this time. Said it in a cheeky naughty way. Made the Croatian journalist beside me giggle and blush repeatedly.
When did Pacey get so self assured and confident?
Anyway, I congratulated him on Fringe - the show has been picked up by Fox and is being pegged as the new X-Files. Joshua will be hyped as the new hope for the network come fall.
The Fringe pilot was shot in Toronto purportedly for $10 million. I asked Josh if the show will continue production in Canada. He told me it"s going to be New York. So he"s moving there. And then I asked him point blank if he and Diane are moving in together. He confirmed that they are indeed and that there home will be NYC.
Then he noticed my arm and graciously held on to my mic while I clumsily adjusted my gimpy sling.
Sigh.
I love him.
And she"s pretty sweet too. Looks great with shorter hair. Very elegant and seemingly totally smitten with him. At one point he started waving our mic around and she giggled during her live interview on French tv. Lucky bitch. Hate her!
