The London Film Festival kicked off tonight. The opening night film is 360 starring Jude Law, Rachel Weisz, and Anthony Hopkins directed by Fernando Meirelles. Didn’t see Weisz or Hopkins among the arrivals in the photo agencies. It’s likely then that Jude is the only actor there to represent the movie. And doing it well.

Very handsome, non? And looking ...older, right? Which is not a bad thing. And he doesn’t seem to be behaving as though it is. And maybe that’s why it’s working for him. I’m not a big fan of facial hair. On anyone, really. But some do it better than others. And I’d say Jude, here at least, is doing it better than most.

So what’s it for, the facial hair?

Well, Anna Karenina, directed by Joe Wright, with Keira Knightley in the title role, just started shooting. Jude plays Alexei Karenin. Jude Law, emotionless, unimaginative, passionless, and artless - am actually quite looking forward to how he performs it. Anna Karenina is expected next year.

Also at the LFF opening tonight - um, hello Gillian Anderson. You look AMAZING.
