The London Film Festival kicked off tonight. The opening night film is 360 starring Jude Law, Rachel Weisz, and Anthony Hopkins directed by Fernando Meirelles. DidnΓÇÖt see Weisz or Hopkins among the arrivals in the photo agencies. ItΓÇÖs likely then that Jude is the only actor there to represent the movie. And doing it well.

Very handsome, non? And looking ...older, right? Which is not a bad thing. And he doesnΓÇÖt seem to be behaving as though it is. And maybe thatΓÇÖs why itΓÇÖs working for him. IΓÇÖm not a big fan of facial hair. On anyone, really. But some do it better than others. And IΓÇÖd say Jude, here at least, is doing it better than most.

So whatΓÇÖs it for, the facial hair?

Well, Anna Karenina, directed by Joe Wright, with Keira Knightley in the title role, just started shooting. Jude plays Alexei Karenin. Jude Law, emotionless, unimaginative, passionless, and artless - am actually quite looking forward to how he performs it. Anna Karenina is expected next year.

Also at the LFF opening tonight - um, hello Gillian Anderson. You look AMAZING.
