Julia Roberts on Letterman last night - did you watch? I watched. I set my pvr to watch. I will always watch. Because as annoying as she is - oh and she is - that's a movie star with personality. And a face!

After all these years, I still find hers the most mesmerising face. Her hair is gorgeous, her nose is lovely, when she smiles you smile - it's been a long, long time since Julia Roberts turned it on to sell a movie on her own smile. And with the sh-t we've been forced to swallow under the guise of Celebrity these days, it's so enjoyable to have her back. For now.

No, she didn't tag Dave's ass for infidelity as I'd hoped. There were hints of it though, a few inside remarks from him that may have alluded to an off camera discussion. But it doesn't mean she didn't take over. Of course she took over. This is Julia's gift. It's ALWAYS about Julia. And it's always entertaining. She knows this. You may hate it, you may want to shoot her, but at least it's not boring. Never boring.

She is quick and witty, she is articulate, judgy, santimonious, and she knows this game, she openly tells you this is a game, a game that benefits HER, in that she's selling a movie and needs you to buy it. In exchange, you get the song and dance.

See? This is how it works. I did not read Eat Pray Love. Not my flavour. But I will see the movie. I've seen almost all her movies. Not breaking that streak now. In a few years they'll be gone. And only Kardashians will remain. And then it'll be too late.

A 3 segment Letterman is always worth your time. Tom Hanks does it, Will Smith does it, George Clooney does it, Madonna does it, Sandra Bullock does it...

Letterman knows how to sort.
