It was reported yesterday, courtesy the ever reliable UK Sun, that Kate Hudson is engaged to Matt Bellamy. Because he and her parents went out for an engagement dinner the other night in London. Kate however taped an appearance on the Graham Norton Show last night and denied the story:

“No, no, not that I know of! I don’t like putting that sort of pressure on it and I don’t feel it necessary to get married. I am 31 I already have one child and have had one divorce so it is not necessarily the golden ticket. I just want to be happy.”

She also said that son Ryder thinks it’s a girl and that she’s showing already, though it was hard to tell when she arrived at Zuma after the interview to meet up with Matt, Goldie, and Kurt.

Kate was there ostensibly to promote her new terrible movie A Little Bit of Heaven which opens in the UK on February 4th. You know when it opens in the US? No? Neither does she. A Little Bit of Heaven does not yet have a North American release date, another sign this will be sh-t. But then again, you knew that already after the trailer. After the baby, maybe it’s time for a career reboot.
