This year she announced the end of her marriage to Sam Mendes. She then hooked up shortly after with a hot British model. They broke up in the fall. Also, many of you think she’s been working on her face. So here she is in London today, wrapping up her year, photographed after lunch with a “mystery young man”. At least that’s what the photo agency is trying to sell. Who? The ginge? I don’t think it’s the ginge. And I can’t figure out from these photos which man they’re trying to make suggestions about.
She does look gorgeous though. Gorgeous. And, um, appears to be using Angelina Jolie’s waxy makeup artist. Is that the trick?
Kate spent the later part of 2010 working on Steven Soderbergh’s Contagion. Her HBO 5 part miniseries Mildred Pierce will debut in March. It looks AMAZING. The trailer is f-cking amazing. Creepy, charged, beautifully shot – Todd Haynes’s signature style is all over it – and the chemistry between Kate Winslet and Evan Rachel Wood is, from one and a half minutes, terrifyingly great. A good dramatic return for both actresses, to say nothing of Guy Pearce. I can’t wait to see it.
