Girl Sh-t is normally the best sh-t. But in this case I’m biased. Because I love that Rihanna and Katy Perry are friends. And there have been a few small, relatively minor when taken on their own, but at least worthy of examination when considered together incidents that could indicate that they might not be ok. So people have been speculating for a few weeks that maybe they broke up.
Here’s the backstory:
A few weeks ago Rihanna, while promoting her new album on BBC Radio 1, said that "I didn't want the generic pop record that Ke$sha or Lady Gaga or Katy Perry would do."

Ri later explained that she would never disrespect her friend Katy:
“Katy is my friend! I would never diss her. I don’t see her as my rival. My only rival is myself, because I always wanna get better and better. I meant all the producers, that give singers like Katy, GaGa or Ke$ha always the same kind of pop-songs. They think, for sure one of them will take it and make it a single. They don’t realize that everyone of us has their own style. I love Katy’s music! That’s why I wanna make a duet with her. We’re already working on it.”
You know, I believe her. I just don’t think she was expressing herself very well. But then she didn’t go to Katy’s wedding, the excuse being that she was too busy working. Which, for sure, makes sense too. But many of you have been asking, emailing wondering if all was ok. They’re totally ok.
Both attended last night’s EMAs in Madrid. It was Katy’s first official public appearance with Russell Brand since they married. After the show there was a double date. Rihanna brought Matt Kemp. They all hooked up for some drinks, looked to be having a good time. This time there is no Girl Sh-t. And for once I am happy about it. I am however not happy about Rihanna’s dress. I hate it. So it must be Marchesa.
