Y’all, Keke Palmer is about to make history by becoming the youngest talk show host of all time on a new daily BET show.
This also marks the first time I will be watching BET on the daily. Someone in programming there is doing something right, because Being Mary Jane is also eminently watchable, and now this. I will watch anything Keke Palmer does, but I happen to know that she’s a fangirl. She’s like us. She gets excited about stuff and has favourites and while she works in entertainment it’s not going to get in the way of her enjoying herself.
I mean, I know. You’re thinking of Akeelah and the Bee. I’m trying to think of something I could find to show you how fun and cool she is but I don’t suspect that old clips of True Jackson, VP are going to win you over.
The article below also says she has a big arc on Masters of Sex coming up. Maybe that will be the thing that will win you over. But if you’re going in not knowing who she is, maybe that’s better. A blank slate. You’re going to be so surprised. She’s like the undercover Emma Stone, in that you will just want to be best friends afterwards, and then be a little embarrassed at yourself.
