The issue, I think, with this dress in stills is that the chiffon kind of looks like it has a harsh edge. I felt that way and thought I didn’t like the hem – but then when I saw it moving, when she came out onstage (did we know she was that wee?) and I fell in love with it. So sophisticated, so gorgeous, and most importantly, so easy. She does not look like she broke a sweat.
I can’t wait to see what the next couple of weeks are going to bring. Kerry Washington is not nominated so she has no real problems in terms of having to fit a certain mold. She can be as bold and examine-y as she wants to be. I am so excited. I’ve been neglecting Scandal - I really should watch beyond the pilot – and I think it’s time for a mini-Kerry binge.
